Training |
BMS will provide Government-accredited IPL training that gives the purchaser of a BMS IPL system the option of receiving accredited training in one of three ways:
| 1. |
For those holding a recognized health science qualification at Certificate IV level, completing an intensive two-day, face-to-face training course in the safe, theoretical and clinical use of intense pulsed light for permanent hair reduction and skin rejuvenation.
| 2. |
For those who do not hold a recognized health science qualification at Certificate IV level, completing a four-day, face-to-face training course that incorporates pre-requisite subjects of anatomy and physiology, skin biology, skin science and skin disorders, histology of hair, and hygiene and sterilization, plus the safe, theoretical and clinical use of intense pulsed light for permanent hair reduction and skin rejuvenation.
| 3. |
For those who do not hold a recognized health science qualification at Certificate IV level, completing pre-requisite subjects through flexible learning (i.e. correspondence) at the student’s own pace first and then undertaking the face-to-face two-day intensive IPL training module at a later date.
| Note: To help verify competencies in IPL treatments, graduates will be required to provide evidence that they have completed 20 designated treatments verified by clients who have undergone the treatments in a clinical setting after they have satisfactorily completed the course. These treatments must be completed within 8 weeks of completing the face-to-face training before a certificate is issued. |
